Last night was our free practice night. Most people, like myself, haven't thrown a bowling ball in at least a month. I knew this would be an interesting night, but I didn't expect to bowl as well as I did.
Here's the recap:
Game 1: 189 - Things got off to a rocky start. I left three open frames and was throwing the ball like a cross-eyed **** on steroids. There was too much spin and too much speed to do anything logical, like hit the pocket. I fixed this quick.
Game 2: 279 - That's no typo. I had a 9-spare in the third or fourth frame and the rest were all strikes. All it took was getting my head out of my ass and slowing down my ball speed. I was throwing out towards the 5-7 boards.
Game 3: 232 - This game started off strong and I accomplished (between game two and three combined) 13 strikes in-a-row. Maybe one day I can get 12 in one game. We'll see...
SERIES: 700 - I knew that I needed a 232 in game three to reach this. I needed to strike out the tenth frame to do so.
Too bad the scores didn't count. "Practice" is the keyword there. Go figure. Maybe next week I can pull a rabbit out of my hat and bowl a 701.

That sounds like a damn good night to me. My first 700 was exactly a 700. Tonight I start my fall league and I hope I can just keep the ball on the lane. I am traveling from Salt Lake City, Utah back home to Baton Rouge, La. My plane arrives at 5:50pm and the league starts at 6:30. I will write about it tommorow so wish me luck. Good luck on your leagues! Oh, and on top of all that there is a fu***** hurricane crawling up my a**.
