The good thing about bowling at a club is that there is something new to blame each week. This week, the air conditioner broke. It was very hot and stuffy. All the cigar smoke made it worse. It was a miserable bowling condition, but we bowled through the stress and took all four points. My scores are as follows:
Game 1: 191 - I wasn't hitting my spares, as usual. I just couldn't focus.
Game 2: 234 - Things started to click this game. I had a four-bagger to start the game, then left an open in the fifth. Between this game and the first game, I struggled with ten-pins. I usually hit them without any difficulty, but tonight I wouldn't hit one - my only one - until the third game.
Game 3: 197 - I needed a turkey in the tenth frame for a 200-game, but didn't. I did, however, get enough pins to lift our team to a new team-game total, just two pins higher than before.
TOTAL: 622 - It's not what I was hoping for, but it could have been a lot worse. I had a lot of open frames.
When I got home, I went right to sleep. I'm still feeling sick from the uncomfortable climate on Tuesday.
Our team is still tied for first place. Although we are tied, we have the pin accumulation as our advantage to keep us on top. It's going to be close in the end. If I remember, I'll bring a stat sheet home next week so I can share everything.

I don't know about where everyone else lives, but I'm loving this cool weather! It's having an awesome affect on the lanes, and it's comfortable! Below are my scores...
Game 1: 185 - I had three open frames this game. I'm not sure what was wrong, but I'll take a 185 with three opens any day!
Game 2:269 - Two spares, the rest strikes, and I still can't win a card game!
Game 3: 233 - Another clean game. I wasn't about to let a 269 go to waste. I also got a turkey in the tenth frame.
TOTAL: 667 - This series keeps me consistant in the league. Last week, I bowled a 669. Before that was a 622. This 667 falls perfectly into place.
I need to say that I was surprised at all the strikes I had on the night. I hit the head high a few times and instead of getting pin action, they just caved in. I must have been doing something right.
Our team won 3 of 4 possible points. We are currently tied for first place, having lost our one-win lead. We will try and claim our lead again, but it's still very, very early in the season. Anything can happen, and something usually does.

Tonight went well. Our team took three of the four possible points. I didn't win any card games, but our team got just enough to claim the night.
Game 1: 201 - I barely got this. I had the first-game struggles once again. However, this time, I finished out with strikes. Our team won this game by two pins!
Game 2: 201 - I bowled well this game. I had a lot of spares.
Game 3: 267 - What can I say? I got a lot of strikes...
Series: 669
In addition to winning the first game by just two pins, our team won the fourth point, which is overall score (i.e. the total of the three games bowled) by just one pin! It was all worth it because it moved my team into first place. It's still early, but right now we are ahead by one win.
Tuesday night marked the official beginning of the 2008 bowling season for me. The entire night I kept wondering why it couldn't have started the week before when I bowled good!
Game 1: 195 - Not the worst of starts. I had a couple open frames in there. I wasn't worried, though.
Game 2: 178 - Okay, now I'm a little worried. Placing the ball isn't working and the pattern is different than it was in practice. This could be because of the weather, though.
Game 3: 216 - My strategy changed from careful placement of the ball to throwing it as hard as I could. Something worked because I managed a decent game. It was a clean game, too.
Series: 589 - Okay, not the best of series, but even the best of us have off nights. It's only the first week and there's a whole season ahead of me.
My team only won one of four games, but like I said, it's early. We're all getting use to things once again. Things will be better next week (or else I'll be spending even more time at the bar!)
