Another Early Exit From The Open

Friday, March 28, 2008, 12:34 PM EST [Tournaments]

I've made yet another early exit from the US Open. The lanes got the best of me once again. However, I did show improvement from last year and that was enough to boost my confidence to keep going at it.

On the first two days, I had a lot of strikes but little spares. On the third day, I had a TON of spares but barely any strikes. Hell, in my second game on day three I had 8 spares and one strike (left the first frame open.)

I'm looking at a couple of regional events: York, PA in August and Wind Gap, PA in November. Nothing is confirmed yet but I'd like to finally participate in these events, providing I can find an alley to lay down the patterns for me so I can practice accurately.

Anyway, I met a lot of great people at the Open and had way more fun than I did last year. If anyone has anything to share from the Open, feel free to contact me or post a comment!

I'll be back next week with updates from my league once again. From what I'm told, my team is still strong in second place.

US Open Squad Assignments - TRADE ?

Monday, March 3, 2008, 11:21 AM EST [Tournaments]

I am currently scheduled to bowl with the "A" squad in the 65th US Open, but because of scheduling conflicts, would prefer to bowl in "B" squad.

If anyone is scheduled to bowl in the "B" squad and would like to trade spots, member or amature, please send me an e-mail to ajcordi@yahoo.com or post a comment here with your contact information.

Entry Fee For The US Open

Thursday, January 31, 2008, 11:58 PM EST [Tournaments]

I found out today that my tax refund should be enough to cover the entry fee for the US Open. It should also cover my fuel bill to drive to and from the center.

This is good news! Hope to see some of you there this year!

    No Regional For Me

Monday, October 29, 2007, 02:07 AM EST [Tournaments]

I won't be bowling in the Blue Valley Open Regional Tournament this year due to the lame reason that I don't have enough money to enter. This is quite upsetting, but it's reality.

I am going to (try and) start saving now for the U.S. Open. I have some scores to settle from last year and plan to do so when the time comes again. Hopefully I will have enough money saved to bowl in the tournament stress free.

As for now, good luck to all who bowl in the Regional! I'll hopefully see you all at the Open!

    2008 US Open

Friday, August 3, 2007, 04:38 AM EST [Tournaments]

Despite what league bowlers at Brunswick Zone Carolier were saying at the 2007 Open, the PBA will be returning in 2008!

I'll be entering the tournament (a bit down the line) with hopes of finishing better (much better) than last season.

I'll also be doing the Regional in Wing Gap, PA this November. I'll post more on that when the time nears.
