I'll keep posting throughout the summer. I bowled a few weeks last year as a sub on the PBA pattern. I learned a lot, and I think it helped me overall this year. I am feeling pretty good about this summer, but I know not to expect to shoot the lights out. I am just hoping to have a respectable average. Will keep you posted. BTW, if you do get to bowl in a tourney over the summer, good luck. Maybe sometime soon we can get together and bowl, considering I don't live that far from you, about an hour away. I think it would be fun. Have a good summer.

I looked around on bowl.com and found that you can still get a 298 and a 299 ring, but you have to purchase them.

They do not give you a ring anymore. All you get is an 11 in a row plaque. As far as a failure award, I wear my 298 watch every week.

Old wood lanes that haven't been resurfaced for over 10 years. They also aren't consistant on oiling the lanes for the house shot seeing the lane conditioning machine is about 25 years old.

I can go on but those two are the major issues.
